Why Self-publish?

I chose self-publishing over traditional publishing to retain total control over my writing and determine the direction I wanted my story to take. Conventional publishing, the writer must have an agent and loses total control over decision-making, not to mention it could take years before getting a deal. 

Would I publish traditionally in the future?

I have nothing against publishing traditionally. It all depends on the story. If I were to do an autobiography, I would probably do it traditionally. A proper autobiography would take years to complete, and I would want a great deal to talk about my life.
